No. it is ftpget in squid-1.1.X that is broken. The bright side is that
1.1.X is less broken than Netscape Navigator / Internet Explorer...
This mess is fixed in squid 1.2, both correct RFC 1738 handling of FTP
URLs, and workarounds for various common errors/misbeliefs (1.2 is
currently in early beta/alpha state).
