That's not a sensible netmask! It puts 31 bits in the network part and
only one bit in the host part, so you have 2^1-2 = zero usable addresses
in it. What's more, the host part is somewhere in the middle instead of
the end, which is very unusual to say the least. Are you sure your
correct netmask isn't something like 255.255.255.128?
