Umm..does anyone actually use those other products? I've don't know
anyone that does, although you hear rumours of people who use other
things.

But it all seems to be second-hand info, so I guess it must just be an
urban-legend :) Everyone uses squid :)

(Actually, every company, ISP, and educational institution that I've
come into contact with in the last year or so _is_ using squid. Tune
apache to show you 'via' and 'forwarded-for' headers in your webserver
logs. If there's a proxy in use, in 99% of cases it's squid.)
