Technically Squid 1.2 is still in late alpha state (new features still
being added). If I am not wrong the last preditcion anyone attemted was
a release in mid-april but it looks like it needs a fair bit of
additional work before it can be released as a stable release.

I can't give a prediction on when it will be ready. There is to much
code changing, and a couple of important things left to do.
