compulsory forwarding under squid-2

Hello,
   Having recently upgraded my Squid to 2.0.RELEASE, I find myself
   with a dilema. I cannot seem to tune the new squid.conf file to
   automaticaly forward all requests on to a parent cache (necessary
   as I am inside a firewall). Having consulted the FAQ and other
   documentation and finding it out of date I thought some kind soul
   here could help me :)
