Throught the SSL-tunnelling protocol (the CONNECT method).
This allows the client to create an end-to-end data-pipe through squid
to the target server. Squid then just shovels bytes each way as they
appear, until the connection is closed. No caching is performed, since
squid (obviously) is not a party to the encryption, and should not be.
Squid neither knows nor cares about the bytes moving through.
