Thiking back this has been mentioned before as a bug in netscape!
try this
if your proxy setttings are all say proxy.mydomain.com on port 8080 for
instance of all protocols try putting a DIFFERENT name for the proxy
machine (even a Ip address) for the https proxy it may be that is your
problem as described here, you basically say it works with ie and not
netscape
