FTP ASCII/BINARY problem

Hello,

I have a problem:

If I download a binary file by ftp in netscape 4.5 under win95,
the file is loaded as ASCII (which is useless) when reading through
squid,
and BINARY (which is what I want) with direct internet connection.

squid-2.1.RELEASE runs on SGI IRIX 6.5.3m.

Is this a netscape problem or a squid problem? Can I in some way force
squid to send the file as binary?

Mogens
