Yes, I get a similar problem. We have Squid 2 on Red Hat and some sites will
fail to access through the proxy. I increased the connect_timeout to 500
which helped a bit. Why does Squid just fail to receive items? Can anyone
help as we can't roll out the proxy to all are users if it fails?

Cheers

Jon

Subject: offline browsing

Hi,
we use Squid (build 2, Red Hat Linux) as a proxy cache for out
network. The network is connected to Internet by dial-up link.
When the link is down and I try to connect to some site,
Squid returns an error, even thought the requested page is cached
in its cache. I would prefer older page rather than no page.
Do you knou how to solve this?
                                Thanks,
