Hi there
---------

1.) Yes you'll lost. Look for a converter tool from Version 1 to Version 2.

2.) by Version 2. no. You can do it by runtime.
- add your new cache dir in config file.
- squid -z
- squid -k recofnigure | restart (is`t to long ago ;-) )

PS: Check the funktions you need in Version 2 wich you have in Version 1,
because the config file is`t compatible.

Betreff: upgrade/increasing cache size questions

 Hi, All.

I have some questions, it's important for me to know:

1) When I upgrade from one Squid (for example 1.1.21) to another (say
2.2.S3) or just recompile the same version of squid with some new options
is it inevitable to lose my current cache?

2) When I add new cache_dir(s) in squid.conf, reconfigure my squid and
then start it with -z flag will I lose contents of my previous cache_dir?
Thanks in advance,
