timezone difference: system vs. squid

Hi,

Typing "date" on my Linux Red Hat 6.0 box:

Mon Jul 12 09:21:15 CEST 1999

This is the correct timezone.
Generating an error using squid, e.g. trying to connect to a site that
doesn't exist:

Generated Mon, 12 Jul 1999 07:22:49 GMT

Where does squid get it's timezone information from ?
How can I correct this ?

Thanks
