I would suggest that you get the current version of Alan Cox patchset
for your Linux version.

.../alan/2.2/patch-<your.linux.version>-ac<highest_available_patch_version>.gz
(or .bz2 if you prefer that). Last time I looked (the 19:th) the current
version was patch-2.2.10-ac10

Now a bit of warning on using Alan Cox patchset: this patchset is not as
much tested as the base Linux distribution, and you should verify that
the patched kernel works fine before deploying on a mission critical
server.

Or are you referring to some other patches?
