Slightly off topic problems with Squid Guard

Hi all
        Has anyone managed to get Squid Guard to compile under DEC UNIX 4.0,
I cant even get it to configure, The configuration program refuses to except
the fact that the BerkeleyDB is present it looks like ld is returning an
incorrect value. I have proved that it will work with linux I even
downloaded the GCC suite and tryed with that to no avail. Any ideas would be
gratefully received as we this working urgently.
