file descriptors

Hi all!

Perhaps I have one doubts in the subject of File descriptors, is
something simple, but good, it goes there:

In this route: /usr/include/gnu they say to me that it makes changes in
the file type.h. but I use Red Hat 6.0 with kernel 2.2.10 and I do not
have that file, but in slackware 3.6 if this, somebody has passed him
something similar before?

Now, type.h within /usr/src/linux exists the file, we are speaking of
same type.h of the route /usr/include/gnu?
