Trying direct when parent gets permission denied

Hello.

I'm running Squid 2.2 Stable 4 as a local proxy server. This local proxy
server may choose to fetch pages either from a parent proxy server or
directly, as usual. This works very well.

But there are pages in the web, which may be fetched by my local proxy
server, but the parent proxy server gets "permission denied".

(That is ok, because these pages (e-zines etc.) are only accessable from
our ip address range and because the parent proxy is not located in this
range.)

You may say: Simply use always_direct configuration lines for these hosts.

Problem: I do not have a (complete) list of these hosts, and this list can
get very large (thousands of hosts).

Problem: I insist in using the parent proxy - that lowers our usage of
international lines by about 10 GB/month.

Idea: If a parent delivers a "permission denied" on a requested page to my
local proxy, my local proxy shall try again, but directly.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any help
