transparent proxy truncates hostnames

Hi,

could anyone who is successfully using Squid as a transparent proxy
(without additional software packages like transproxy) be so kind as
to send me his /etc/squid.conf and ipchains -L output.

Whenever I start redirecting from port 80 to 3128, the hostnames are
removed from the URLs and I do not see what I am doing wrong. I am
using »httpd_accel_host virtual« and »httpd_accel_with_proxy on« and
»httpd_accel_uses_host_header on«, but it does not work.

My config is Squid 2.2.4 and Linux 2.2.12 and ipchains 1.3.8.
