Skycache is statistical pushing. They choose what objects are statistically
popular and people needed to fetch, and push those. (Skycache people, shoot
me down here if I'm wrong.) However, that is definitely not the only way
you can do predictive caching.

Yes, having a large userbase definitely helps.
