Squid complains about cache-store ;-)

Hello

I'm running a squid 2.2.STABLE5-WCCP on a 2.2.13 kernel on a simple test-box

(48MB RAM - 1GB IDE cache-partition)

It ran for about a day (with WCCP-support) and now these errors occur in 'cache.log' and I don't seem to understand why :

1999/12/09 20:06:18| storeSwapOutFileOpenend: Unable to open swapfile: /proxycache/0C/0B/0000C2E2 (28) No space left on device

Now here's some information I get from top :

PID User PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME
5854 nobody 4 0 105M 28M 9908 S 0 1.1 61.1 59:14

OK, the RSS is rather big and SQUID *IS* swapping without any doubt (93.4MB SWAP USED , 128MB AVAILABLE)

But why the rude error, when running 'df' on the system it says :

Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hdb1 1049007 557035 439054 56% /proxycache

Some other information :

On the /proxycache volume is used an L1=256 dirs and L2=64 dirs

My StoreDir Statistics :
Filemapbits in use : 43750 of 157538 (28%)

Some other information:
Page faults with physical i/o : 123441
Number of HTTP request served : 191647
Mean Object size : 11.41KB

Anyone got an idea here ???

Jan Van Ham
