I wouldn't.

My guideline is
a) One cache_dir per physical drive
b) L2=256, unless you know that your OS performs better using another
value.
c) L1 = cache_dir size * 2 / store_avg_object_size / L2 / L2

It might cause a bit more seeking than one large drive, which is bad.
