Problem with dnsserver in squid

Hello Michel.
Going through the archive of squid-users I found your post about not
working dnsservers on powerpc-ibm-aix4.2.1.0:

I have exactly the same problem. I played a bit with the source of
dnsserver, and found that the program silently fail, when it tries to
call gethostbyname() or gethostbyaddr().

Have you already solved this problem?
Or have anyone any suggestion?
