Not if using Squid-2.3. Squid-2.3 uses a dynamically sized filemap,
automatically growing it when needed.

What for? These are for tuning Squid to match certain filesystem
characteristics.

Any change to L2 (or in some cases L1) requires you to wipe clean the
cache.
