We also experienced the same. If downloading from an
ftp site was terminated in middle, we will be able to
resume the download from the place where the download
got terminated. But once, the download is over and we
try downloading the same object then the ftp object is
freshly fetched from the site. So the caching of an
ftp object is done until the whole download is completed.
