Hello,

i have two problems running squid.

the first is, that I get this error-message on 20% of the requests:

************************************************************************

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/Users-Guide/detail/accel.html

The following error was encountered:

Connection Failed
The system returned:

    (101) Network is unreachable
The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

I read in the cache.log squid writes:

************************************************************************

2000/02/28 16:39:44| TCP connection to proxy.provider.com/8080 failed

************************************************************************

All other requests are handled with success. If I go back and forward with my web-browser, everything works fine.

The other problem is, that I don't know how to connect an FTP-Site with username and password. What "format" do I have to configure in my FTP-Client?

Does Squid support File-Upload ore just File-Download?

Thanx for Your support, Kilian
