Hi All,

Our Squid proxy seems not to work, if anybody could help it would be
wonderful.
Please find the files enclosed note I still havn't changed the conf file to
2000 MB cache size and 40 MB ram, will do.
Please and see what you think. We use IPFILTER to undertake transparent
proxying. The rc.local file which has the rules is listed. If anyone wants
to access the server with cachemgr.cgi the ip address of our squid is
203.164.5.204.

Also:

Our ISP uses automatic proxy configuration http://proxy:8080 we can uses
proxy and no a ip address or dns as we use a cable modem and it is a bridge
to the ISP. We would like to have the squid use the ISP's cache when it
hasn't got the files in its cache! How can this be done?

I now have added info regarding the ISP cache which I mentioned above
"http://proxy:8080" the ISP uses Inktomi proxy software on SGI servers.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Please reply to solomon@freegate.com.au

Thanks

Solomon
