"Client" acts differently in Squid v2.3?

I've taken the plunge from Squid v2.2S5 to v2.3S2 on my RedHat box.
Everything seems to be working well except for 1 thing: the client
utility.

Previously, I could do "client mgr:menu" and get a list of options.
Now I get this error:

    cachemgrParseUrl: action 'menu' is disabled

Similarly, attempting to see the DNS statistics via "client mgr:dns"
gets me this error:

    cachemgrParseUrl: action 'dns' is disabled

I believe I have successfully migrated my v2.2S5 config to my
shiney-new v2.3S2 installation. Squid seems to be working as it
should.

Can anyone shed some light on what's going on with the "client"
utility".

Thank you.
