From squid.conf:

# To disable an action, set the password to "disable".

Have you uncommented the

#cachemgr_passwd disable all

line by any chance?

It seems to be a "bug" in squid.conf that. When I do 'client mgr:menu'
there's no 'dns' option, only 'idns' [internal DNS].
