Hi Folks,

Am in process of building a backup squid server, and wanted to
check with Learned-List-Folks! Its a Dual PII-400 (Asus P2BDS)
with 256 MB, and 2 X 9 GB disks (80 Mbps). Preferred OS is
Redhat Linux, have V6.2 and V6.1 Redhat available.

We have, say, 1000 desktops and a T1 line.

Questions:

Which kernel? Any benefits in 2.2 or 2.3 series?
Plan on using 4 GB partitions on each disk for /usr2/cache1
        and /usr3/cache2 cache directories.
Which Squid version? (stable/dev?)

Any way to suck existing cache onto the new box?

Thanks for your thoughts!
