games do not run through a squid proxy, so if you are forcing all traffic
through the proxy then this is where your problems are, you should only be
blocking http/ftp, etc traffic to force the use of proxy.. other ports are
used for many other things, such as games and should be left open, unless
you want to block some ports for security...like the netbus ports 1234
etc...

if you are not blocking ports and forcing the use of a proxy then perhaps
it is another problem... not related to squid proxy either way
