No I believe removing the cache.swap file completely make squid too slow and
it will take hours to rebuild it.

Do not remove any Object manually from cache as its not good.

Just place or copy your cache.swap out of that filesystem in some new dir
and define that in squid.conf if you do not know how to use UFS I think its
has been discussed lot of time on the list and Henrik has told a lot about
it.
