Squid 2.4 Devel4, name resolution issues

Anybody notice some DNS strangeness with Squid 2.4 Development 4? When used
as a transparent proxy, it doesn't appear to resolve names.

Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.alabama.com

When a browser is specifically setup to speak with the proxy, works great.

The configure line

./configure --enable-underscores --enable-poll --enable-snmp --enable-time-h
ack --enable-async-io=30 --enable-storeio=ufs,aufs,diskd --disable-ident-loo
kups

Box is running Linux, kernel 2.2.16. Squid 2.3 Stable 3 works just spiffy
on the box, and all the name servers in /etc/resolv.conf test out fine. I
also tried specifying the name servers in squid.conf, but that didn't make a
difference.
