hello guys ,

i have these line in my squid.conf

cache_dir ufs /cache/cache1 1500 16 256
cache_dir ufs /cache/cache2 1500 16 256
cache_dir ufs /filez/cache3 3500 16 256

when i issue df , it shows this:

/dev/sda6 4464812 3658056 579952 86% /cache
/dev/hdc1 5044156 4282304 505620 89% /filez

the total cachedir size for /cache partition is 3GB and /filez is 3.5GB
but squid is using way more than that ...
is it ok ? what's the ideal or ratio of the extra space that should be
considered?
say i want to have a 3GB cachedir , what should be the size of the actual
partition ? 3GB+1GB = 4GB ?

TIA
