[SQU] comm_select: 0 FDs ready; - syslog explodes!

All's well, until -k debug. Then, the syslog explodes with
megabytes/second of the following:

    comm_select: 0 FDs ready at ....
    comm_select: time out: ....

I compiled 2.3 STABLE4 with --enable-async-io and
 --enable-time-hack on Linux 2.2.16.

Using time-hack because of Debian bug report entitled:
Debian Bug report logs - #57973
    Squid times out immediately

...and, without the time-hack squid hangs after about
12 hours and can not be restarted.

Could this be related? The Debian bug was in time.c of
Linux 2.2.14. Is the bug still in 2.2.16???

Does this make any sense? I'm puzzled.

Am I posting this to the correct mailing list????
