[SQU] squid's pam_auth

is this a bug or what...
os = solaris 8
model = 450
squid 2

compiled ok, pam_auth works great for root only; any other user, including
squid, it fails with ERR.

trussed good and bad attempts, with bad trying to read nsswitch.conf,
pam.conf, group, others???

tried 777 on passwd, shadow, group, pam_auth, nsswitch.conf...nothing.
tried adding squid to groups root, system and bin...nothing.

whatttsss' up!
