[SQU] always_direct fails

Bug in access_log.csquid 2.3stable4 on solaris 8

in squid.conf i've put

acl site dstdomain .site.com
always_direct allow site

restarted squid

yet netscape gets stops for authentication via pam_auth

i'm not expecting this, how can i correct it so 'site' is connected directly
without authentication?
