Dean,
its a fun topic, especially in Australia... In other countries you could
get away with it, however in Australia privacy is a core right and you do
not have the right to monitor unless you have managed to get the employees
to agree to the fact that the network traffic is allowed to be monitored.

There is precedent as well - though that was for email..

How we got around it was to only monitor for obscene/racial hatred type
traffic and to have the report go to HR direct and not be made public.

Now in Singapore its a different matter :} here privacy is a luxury and so
I can simply post the list of users on the website and let shame to the
work for me :}
