[SQU] How to calculate number of redirector's children

Hello,

is there any way of checking if the number of redirector's childer which
i've configured is large enough? the preffered way would be some kind of
script (not cachemgr.cgi)

what happens when the http load is too big?
is there any buffering? what's the result of configuring childer value
too small? what are pros and cons of configuring children close to an
upper limit (if any)?
