I can only second that GCC 2.95.3.test2 seems to work OK with -O2. Have
not done a full test, but the rfc1035.c problem is not there.

Will run a couple of test with -O3 and Pentium-GCC 2.95.3.test2 shortly
to see if there is any gotchas.

It is a pity that OpenBSD has shipped with a snapshot release that
identifies itself as a later release version that the latest release at
the time of the snapshot. Makes it harder to detect the broken
versions...
