attached mail follows:

i am getting a warning message in cache.log "Running
out of file descriptors" the file descriptors limit it
shows is 1024.

when i look in "/proc/sys/fs/file-max" it displays
4096.

the _FD_SETSIZE is remarked in
"/usr/include/bits/type.h"

now the question is, should i uncomment the line in
type.h and set this to my desired limit like 4096 and
run "configure" and "make" again to recompile squid?

is this safe and will not effect the running copy of
squid?

Kind Regards
Naeem.
