That's it. Can't telnet to that site from the proxy machine. I can telnet to
others.

I'll check firewall rules.

What if you try "telnet distrib.adriansteel.com 80" from the Squid
server itself? Does this work?

You should not receive a Squid error then. If you do then your
transparent redirection of traffic is wrongly set up.
