hi all,

i thought i'd have a look at the cache manager mem usage statistics for the
solaris boxes
i experienced the memory trouble with. the output tells me that there might
be a problem
with squid ignoring the cache_mem parameter

the cachemgr output looks like this

these are the values for the 'Store Mem Buffer' pool:

Obj Size (bytes): 4096

Allocated:
=========
#: 45778
(KB): 183112
high (KB): 184940
high (hrs): 0.00
impact: 97%

In Use:
======
#: 45778
(KB): 183112
high (KB): 184940
portion (% alloc): 100

Idle:
=====
all zero

my 'cache_mem' parameter in squid.conf is set to 32 MB.
i tried and turned off 'memory_pools' to see if there is a problem with
squid and
mem allocation in solaris 2.6. same result.

now, is this a bug? or am i the bug?

Best regards
