[squid-users] "Message too long"

I have squid setup as a transparent proxy. When I go to my hotmail
account and try to read one of my emails I get the follwing html page
from squid:

Write error
(40) Message too long
and something like "Unable to write to network"

I'm running on OpenBSD 2.9
Squid version 2.3 Stable 4

If I reload it sometimes accesses my email properly, and sometimes just
hangs.

Any ideas?
