I don't believe this is a regex. Methinks you want '.*'. I could be wrong.
It has happened once before :-)

Apart from that, what do you mean by going direct. If you mean the browser
doesn't use squid, that's not what it's for. It's to tell squid to bypass
any parent caches for the named domains. For the browser you need a .pac
autoproxy set up.
