Hi. Sorry if this has been asked before but I didn't see it addressed in the archives:

I REALLY would like to use LDAP authentication. I upgraded to 2.4.stable1 and installed the squid_ldap_auth module. I have the module configured and can run it from the command line just fine. However I am seeing the following when I try to run it with squid:

- the documentation says that the line calling it in squid.conf should be something like "authenticate_program /usr/local/bin/squid_ldap_auth my.ldap.server.com port" When I configure it this way with the port number, every time I try to authenticate squid errors with a "WARNING: authenticator #1 (FD 6) exited" until all of them are gone and squid exits.

- if I take the port number out I don't get this error, but I also am NEVER able to authenticate. It just keeps giving me "Proxy authentication failed."

Is there something else that I need to put in my squid.conf file? Has anyone else seen this???

This is on RedHat 7.1, Squid 2.4-Stable 1.

tia.
