Hi there,

I,ve got a small problem with Proxy Authentification

I'm trying to use the NCSA module with squid, but i never get
prompted for the password.

I just set up Squid 2.3 and added the following lines to squid.conf

authenticate_progamm /usr/sbin/ncsa_auth /path/to/passwdfile

authenticate_children 5

I deleted almost all of the standard acls

and only use

acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
acl password proxy_auth REQUIRED

http_access allow password
http_access deny all

i also uncommented

proxy_auth_realm Squid proxy_caching web server

If i use the proxy on my client the proxy always denies access and
never asks me for username and passwd.
The ncsa_auth is tested and works fine.
