the syntax for deleting objects from the cache is:

/<wherever>/squid/bin/client -m PURGE <URL>

you may want to add these lines to your squid.conf first:

acl PURGE method PURGE
http_access allow PURGE localhost

you can determine an object's complete url by watching your access.log
while opening it with a browser.

although it has been asked here many times and I have browsed through the
archives, I cannot find the answer therefore my posting.

I need to expunge selected objects from the cache. How can I do it??
