hi!
I dont know what TCP_MISS/000 means .... i dont think its a valid status
code.... but i have done some testing on this ... here is what i found ..
i thought i should post it here ... it might help ...
i am running squid-2.3.STABLE4 on redhat 7.0 ...

i ran a script to send requests to squid @ 1 req/s ... without waiting
for the reply ... i get some TCP_MISS/000

e.g. -
998326410.501 5667 192.168.1.12 TCP_MISS/000 290 GET
http://ads.bitsonthewire.com/ads/infoMenbanner1.gif -
DIRECT/ads.bitsonthewire.com -

then i set the same squid as a proxy in my netscape ....and send the same
requests .... this is what i get ...

998327389.745 942 192.168.1.12 TCP_HIT/200 13072 GET
http://ads.bitsonthewire.com/ads/infoMenbanner1.gif - NONE/- image/gif

so it is getting cached ...

then i clean the cache ... and send the same request using netscape ...

998327609.623 6123 192.168.1.12 TCP_MISS/200 13062 GET
http://ads.bitsonthewire.com/ads/infoMenbanner1.gif -
DIRECT/ads.bitsonthewire.com image/gif

resending it .. gives hit ...

998327644.378 565 192.168.1.12 TCP_HIT/200 13071 GET
http://ads.bitsonthewire.com/ads/infoMenbanner1.gif - NONE/- image/gif

so in both cases it is getting caches properly ... but the sizes shown
in the access.log are different ...

the only difference between the two is that in the first i dont wait
for the reply ....

so does /000 mean that the client aborted the request or is no
longer receiving it or something like that ...

can anyone confirm this ...
