[squid-users] DNS cache-only server question

Hi there,

I'm running squid on my firewall machine and I'm also running a DNS
cache-only server. Everything works well with one exception: For any
'dummy' entries I create in my DNS cache-only server files, squid
gives me the following type of error -- this is an example using
'qa-three.foobar.com':

Unable to determine IP address from host name for qa-three.foobar.com

I have created a CNAME entry for 'qa-three.foobar.com' however squid
complains.

I can ping 'qa-three.foobar.com' on the firewall machine as well as
from my other machines behind the firewall.

I believe the problem is that if I do an 'nslookup
qa-three.foobar.com', the result is the IP as well as an alias -- see
nslookup below.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thx a lot!
