[squid-users] Squid at remote offices -transparent proxy-.

Hi all,

Iīm quite new to Squid by now, but I think that it can do a work work for
me and my company.

The point is that we have a number of remote sites that connect to our
central site through WAN links. All of them use some internal applications
via a web browser. We are quite worried because thereīs a lot of bandwidth
that is going over those WAN links and we would like to install some
caching-proxy in those remote offices to be able to cache that content in
the userīs side of the WAN link. Can it be done with Squid
transparently -withut reconfiguring the clients- . We would also like this
proxy to serve just some domains, because some of them are excluded from the
proxy and, that way, go directly to our web servers.

I would appreciate that someone could help me with this or point to a good
reference on the subject.

Thanks a lot. Regards to you all.
