[squid-users] Query about the file /var/spool/mail/news in Squid Cache Version 1.1.22

Hi All

I have query on the above. I am using Squid Cache
version 1.1.22 and I notice that there is a file
called news in /var/spool/mail. And this file is
growing. So, I would like to find out the following:

1. The purpose of the file.

2. How the file is being created?

3. What information in the file is important to a
Squid administrator?

4. How to housekeep the file? Is it just execute the
command, cp /dev/null /var/spool/mail/news?
