Hi,

I've squid2.4-STABLE3 installed on a DELL PE server running RH7.2 journal
FS. The problem is, when
cache.log shows the below:-

2002/01/09 17:48:51| Restarting Squid Cache (version 2.4.STABLE3)...
2002/01/09 17:48:51| FD 16 Closing HTTP connection
2002/01/09 17:48:51| FD 18 Closing ICP connection
2002/01/09 17:48:51| FD 19 Closing SNMP socket

2002/01/09 17:48:51| Adding nameserver 165.21.100.88 from /etc/resolv.conf
2002/01/09 17:48:51| Accepting HTTP connections at 0.0.0.0, port 8080, FD 7.
2002/01/09 17:48:51| Accepting ICP messages at 0.0.0.0, port 3130, FD 8.
2002/01/09 17:48:51| Accepting SNMP messages on port 3401, FD 10.
2002/01/09 17:48:51| WCCP Disabled.
2002/01/09 17:48:51| Loaded Icons.
2002/01/09 17:48:51| Ready to serve requests.

Soonafter trying to load a webpage, it so lags as if squid daemon or website
is dead...even if it loading, it
can't load completely until I initated a refresh, only then it load fully.
Then 15 mins later, everything is ok.

Anyone here has this kind of symptons.

p.s. I've did the neccessary tuning such as FD 8192, file-max 16384, having
2GB RAM, cache mem of 800M, memory pools on/1000M in squid.conf
etc.

pse advise. tks.

Rgds,

Irwin
